I love stories where I can see a reflection of myself. Especially, those ugly, awkward parts of me that I’m too ashamed to acknowledge. It’s a lot easier to take when you can pretend it’s about someone else. Those people appear in your head for a short time and play the role of a teacher, reminding you about the things you don’t want to remember. But they’re important. Not in a big way, no; subtly important, in the way we seldom notice. Even so, they form our personality just as our big experiences. This is what this story is about. You’d think, what could happen in an ordinary diner while you’re having your breakfast that would change your day and become a lesson? It’s this, the small thoughts that go through your head and cause an avalanche of emotions. Just some strange girl and the people around her and the chance to be a small part of their world for a little time. It’s complete strangers that inadvertently remind us about the most important things in life. I received a free copy from the author for an honest review.
